Tail light blinkers

Has anyone ever converted a vehicle with separate blinkers/brake lights to the shared kind? IE from this:

to this:

If so how did you do the wiring so the blinker would still blink when the brake light was activated?

Yep. A simple trailer light converter will do the trick. Just think of your vehicle lights becomming the trailer lights. Easy job.

I did exactly that on my old Willys. Since I used too many Toyota parts, I had wiring for separate tail lights and signals. Wired them up to the little converter box, and magically had less wires coming out to the now-combined taillights.
